Output: | Product | Price: | |:---|---:| | Laptop | $999 |
Formatted according to GitHub Flavored Markdown table specifications.
Tips & limits
- Right-aligning numeric columns makes financial tables and byte sizes easier to compare visually.
- Prettified tables with aligned pipe characters make Git diffs much cleaner during code reviews.
- Use backslash to escape pipe characters (\|) if they appear as literal text inside table cells.
Common problems
- Pasted spreadsheet cells do not populate rows properly
Make sure you paste into the CSV import dialog with tab or comma delimiters selected.
- Table renders as plain text on GitHub
Ensure you include an empty line before and after the Markdown table block in your document.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I add line breaks inside a single Markdown table cell?
Standard Markdown tables do not support raw line breaks inside cells; you can use the HTML <br> tag inside a cell.
Is there a limit on table size?
You can build tables with dozens of rows and columns; all grid state is maintained in browser memory.
Does this tool upload my table data?
No. All grid editing, CSV parsing, and Markdown generation run in local browser memory.
