General & Architecture FAQs
How does ToolVerve process files without uploading them?
ToolVerve utilizes modern web standards including WebAssembly (Wasm), dedicated Web Workers, and the HTML5 File API. When you select or drag a file into any ToolVerve utility, the raw binary byte stream is read directly into your device's local memory (RAM) via the browser sandbox. All computation, compression, parsing, and rendering execute on your local CPU and GPU. At no point are your files transmitted over the network or saved to remote server disks.
Are ToolVerve utilities completely free to use?
Yes. All 103 utilities are free to use. There are no subscription paywalls, no daily file processing limits, no watermarks added to your images or PDFs, and no mandatory account signups.
Can I use ToolVerve on smartphones and tablets?
Yes. ToolVerve is built mobile-first and responsive. The interface adjusts smoothly across iPhones, iPads, Android smartphones, tablets, laptops, and ultra-wide desktop monitors with optimized touch targets and gesture support.
Does ToolVerve work offline without an internet connection?
Yes! ToolVerve is an installable Progressive Web App (PWA). Once you visit the site, service workers cache the application code on your device. You can install ToolVerve to your home screen or desktop and use many utilities even in airplane mode.
Is there a maximum file size limit?
Because processing takes place in your browser memory rather than on remote servers, there are no artificial server-imposed size caps. Your only limit is the available RAM on your device. Most modern laptops and smartphones can easily handle multi-hundred-megabyte PDF files and high-resolution images up to 16,000 pixels wide.
Privacy, Security & Standards FAQs
Does ToolVerve store my passwords, hashes, or generated tokens?
Never. Cryptographic utilities (like the Password Generator, JWT Decoder, and Hash Generator) execute purely in ephemeral JavaScript runtime variables. Nothing is logged, cached in cookies, or sent to telemetry servers. Once you refresh or close the tab, the state is completely wiped from RAM.
How does ToolVerve handle user data privacy?
Because ToolVerve never collects, receives, stores, or transmits user-uploaded files, files remain strictly in local browser memory. Organizations and professionals handling sensitive client files can use ToolVerve with confidence.
How does ToolVerve compare to traditional cloud converter websites?
Cloud converter websites require uploading files to remote servers, queueing them in multi-tenant processing pipelines, and downloading the result. This consumes bandwidth, introduces privacy risks, and creates latency. ToolVerve processes files locally on your hardware with zero upload bandwidth consumption and zero data retention.
What image and document formats are supported?
ToolVerve supports standard raster images (JPEG, PNG, WebP), vector graphics (SVG), document standards (PDF), and developer formats (JSON, YAML, CSV, SQL, Markdown, Base64). All conversions adhere to official RFC and W3C specifications.
